Thank you, Thank you, Thank you from the bottom of my heart. As a kid born and raised in Central’s loving arms, this email and the progress that I have seen at the Log Cabin makes my heart warm and tears come into my eyes.
Prayers for our team of builders and architects, that they stay safe and cool and prayers for all of us as we continue to support this wonderful building that is, in my mind, the heart of our community.
My wife, Lori, and I lived in the cabin in 1979-80 when I was student pastor at Central. I am now pastor of First UMC in Morris, IL.
Wow…that’s cool. If you’d like to come up for our celebration this weekend, you should! 10:30 a.m. worship and then fellowship in the Log Cabin for the first time since the renovation began in April. Unfortunately, we haven’t really done much to the upstairs. That will be a “next step.” So it probably looks the same as when you lived there!
